The Qorvus MeshCam™ wireless IP (Internet Protocol) megapixel camera system utilizes German optics and compression, combined with American 900 Mhz, 2.4 Ghz or 5.8 Ghz wireless mesh technology, a long-range,low-cost, robust, and easy-to-install alternative to higher-priced and lower-performance hardwired or wireless camera systems.
The MeshCam™ utilizes a customized version of the highly-regarded Qorvus Qnode embedded mesh software. This is a self-configuring, fault-tolerant, and self-healing wireless networking and routing technology, that allows a rapid deployment of a wireless security network throughout a large industrial or commercial site, without buried cable, engineered point-to-point links, or expensive high-tower centralized wireless data-collection methods.
This remarkable camera system can be deployed with only minimal site preparation, little or no intermediate gateway and routing hardware and engineering, and no hardwired backhaul provisioning except at a single gateway. Using the same technology as the Qorvus Qnode™ wireless mesh access points allows for greatly reduced site and system engineering, easy scalability, and inherently hack-resistant, hidden-node resistant, remotely updatable, manageable, and fault-tolerant operation.
This amazing wireless high-resolution IP camera can also act as a wireless access-point for serving up both LAN and internet-based content in infrastructure mode, while simultaneously backhauling video data via secure IP tunneling through its mesh architecture. It can even backhaul as a client or server in a PtMP star topology, while performing all of its other functions, without any additional radio hardware, software, or antennas.
